About the Role We are seeking a motivated and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic inpatient bank team in Perth & Kinross in Scotland. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients with diverse needs, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting, delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to the individual needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their occupational needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support rehabilitation and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs). Provide therapeutic interventions, including education on adaptive strategies, use of assistive devices, and environmental modifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure holistic patient care, including participation in case discussions and discharge planning. Deliver patient and family education to prepare for transitions to home or other care settings. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional and organizational standards. Support and mentor junior staff, students, and therapy assistants as required. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration. Experience: Minimum 6 months NHS paid experience, including working in an inpatient or acute care setting. Skills: Strong assessment and problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously and prioritize a varied caseload. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
