Stockport Homes Group manages a 12,000 strong housing stock on behalf of Stockport Council. Our mission is “One Team, Transforming Lives” …that team is growing, and you could be the newest member of our Housing Management Team.
This is a temporary 18-month apprenticeship, where you will be supported to complete a Housing Management Level 3 qualification. You will have a key role in supporting the work of the Housing Management Team working in a busy front-line team to provide a customer focused housing management service. You will undertake ‘on-the-job training’ alongside a team of Housing Officers to understand the business and carry out key tasks, which will cover all aspects of tenancy and estate management including:
* Minimising letting times and rent loss
* Carrying out regular estate inspections and block inspections and following up action
* Completing routine tenancy contact with customers to ensure support issues are identified and addressed and property conditions are good
* Administration and invoicing
We are looking for someone who is:
* Organised, proactive and reliable
* Able to confidently communicate with customers and colleagues
* Resilient, able to deal with sometimes challenging situations
* Comfortable using IT systems to record and present information
* Excited for the opportunity to complete a qualification alongside the role
* Motivated to provide an excellent customer focused service
* A team player with the ability to support others with enthusiasm, credibility and a commitment to our mission and values

The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory basic clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
