Our client, a well-established contractor based in Central Scotland, specialises in geotechnical investigations, drilling, and blasting, and is currently expanding their team. They are in search of skilled Geotechnical Engineers at all levels to contribute to a high-profile renewable engineering project in the North of Scotland.
This role is based in the North of Scotland, so it is essential that applicants are based in and around Peterhead or are willing to work in the Peterhead area.
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a vital role in the team, with responsibilities including:
* Assisting in planning and executing site investigations.
* Implementing strategies in coordination with management.
* Preparing design calculations, drawings, technical documents, and project reports while ensuring compliance with current standards.
* Verifying the accuracy of plans, drawings, and quantities.
* Conducting inspection work, feasibility studies, report preparation, and cost estimating.
* Upholding company quality procedures.
* Striving to complete projects on time and within budget.
* Supporting the team with additional duties as required.
* Responding to queries and liaising with clients, third parties, and other stakeholder groups.
Requirements:
* Appropriate geotechnical engineering qualification (HND/C or Degree).
* Previous experience as a Geotechnical Engineer within a civil engineering environment.
* Previous site investigation experience ideally.
* CAD or ground modelling knowledge is desirable.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Full UK driving license.
