An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.
Vacancy Brief:
* The role is that of a Revenues and Council Tax Officer.
* The vacancy is a temporary post until March 2025 minimum.
* This is a full-time vacancy; 37 hours a week.
* Monday – Friday with flexible working hours of between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
* Pay Rate for this vacancy is £20.80 PAYE or £26.00 Umbrella.
* Based in Bristol. However, can be 100% remote working too, up to the candidate.
* Internal systems are NEC Revs and Bens and (email address removed).
* 1-2-1 Check In’s with Team Leader online.
* Part of a larger team of 35.
The Responsibilities:
* In your role as a Revenues Officer, you will obtain and assess information to determine local taxation liability in accordance with legislation. This includes determination and allowance of discounts, reliefs, and exemptions.
* An important aspect of your job role will be to accurately update and maintain the revenues databases to ensure prompt and accurate billing, collection, and recovery of accounts.
* Part of your job role will require you to respond appropriately to enquiries received from citizens, businesses and agents and action amendments to accounts.
* You will agree repayment plans and determine appropriate recovery action that takes account of the person’s circumstances whilst maximising collection.
* As a Revenues Officer, you will be expected to contribute to the review of working practices, procedures, and documents by making suggestions for improvement in service delivery and performance.
* Furthermore, you will be required to administer council tax and business rates, ensuring accurate and prompt billing, collection, and recovery of accounts.
