Job Description:
We are looking to employ the right candidate to work alongside our existing workshop team to keep up with demand. Predominantly workshop-based but with weekends during race season on a rota basis.
We require a motivated, enthusiastic technician with a passion for all things classic/performance car and a keen interest in going racing. The work is fast-paced but also very eclectic and interesting; you will get to work on a wide range of classic vehicles from Morris Minors through to 450bhp thoroughbred race cars!
The individual must be very self-motivated and able to manage their own workload but also be a team player as we are a small business and require everyone to muck in.
They must be experienced in classic car repair and diagnosis, with a knowledge of carburettor systems, kingpins, and old car electrics, as well as being knowledgeable on more modern vehicle systems such as injection, modern electrics, and ECUs.
We are offering a competitive salary, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, paid overtime, and a flexible working environment.
If this sounds like you, please send your CV and covering letter.
Experience:
* Proven experience as a classic car technician or similar role.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, with proficiency in vehicle electrics.
* Familiarity with operating power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
* Ability to read and understand technical documents, including schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients as the race days are very client-focused and one-on-one.
