Our client, a leading global manufacturer based in Farnborough, is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit control and hold a degree or be CICM qualified/part-qualified.
Credit Controller - About The Role
This role will report into the Transactional Finance Team Leader and main duties include:
* Manage Sales Ledger accounts for the UK and Europe
* Communicate with customers to ensure timely debt collection, either directly in the UK or through European offices
* Set up new accounts, assess, and review credit risk
* Post bank journals, update system, and process credit notes
* Generate and distribute monthly customer statements
* Ensure timely communication of deposit and payment hold releases
* Process Letters of Credit and Cash against documents
* Support month-end closing, reporting, and sales ledger reconciliation
* Provide ad hoc management reports and assist with other receivables-related tasks
The successful Credit Controller will have:
1. A degree or CICM qualification (part-qualified also considered)
2. Credit control experience
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Ability to work well and deliver results to deadlines and under pressure
5. Excellent numerical skills
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
