JOB PURPOSE
To support the Quality Manager with leading the department & systems within the business ensuring, by working with all departments, that product quality is maximised, and that all quality certifications are maintained. To ensure that site services meet the needs of employees and the business whilst assisting the business with compliance to standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist the Quality Manager in organising, controlling, and maintaining the management systems.
2. In the absence of the Quality Manager, deputise as required.
3. Provide support and advice to staff to achieve compliance with internal and external Quality management systems.
4. Assist development of and maintain QHSE documentation to identify and respond to emerging legislation relevant to activities.
5. Support the QHSE team in ensuring business objectives are met.
6. Collate monthly quality KPI statistics.
7. Carry out internal and external inspections and audits and assist close out of NCR’s.
8. Assist development of and deliver QHSE system training and awareness initiatives.
9. Train & develop the Quality team with the Quality Manager's guidance.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALS
1. Experience of customer communications and third-party auditors Compliance with certified standards and procedures (BRC, ISO 9001, FSC/PEFC).
2. Experience of quality team leading within an FMCG manufacturing environment (preferably packaging).
3. Commercial / cost awareness.
4. Strong computer skills including the use of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
5. Root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
6. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Team management.
