Job Title: Project Manager/Project EngineerLocation: North WalesSalary: £45k-£65kOverviewOur client within the engineering sector are currently recruiting a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager or Project Engineer to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects in the water and wastewater sector*. This role emphasizes a strong technical understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering and a commitment to safety, quality, and cost-efficiency.*Please note - our client can consider most engineering backgrounds from an infrastructure perspective!*Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety, and Compliance:Maintain and enforce a safe workplace environment, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and regulations.Uphold the highest safety standards across operations, including adherence to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) and CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.Project Management:Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon quality standards.Develop and monitor detailed project plans, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.Leadership and Team Development:Lead and motivate project teams and subcontractors to achieve project goals efficiently and collaboratively.Foster a culture of innovation, professional growth, and high morale within the team.Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:Establish and maintain effective communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.Chair key meetings and provide timely project updates to stakeholders.Build strong relationships with clients and third-party stakeholders to ensure smooth project integration and delivery.Problem-Solving and Reporting:Address and resolve complex project issues swiftly to minimize disruptions.Provide accurate and transparent reporting to stakeholders and maintain comprehensive project documentation.Strategic Contributions:Work with leadership to identify and secure new business opportunities.Demonstrate adaptability in taking on additional responsibilities to meet organizational priorities.RequirementsExperience and Qualifications:Proven experience managing water and wastewater projects through the full lifecycle (preferred but not essential).Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., HNC, Degree, NVQ Level 4 in Site Supervision, ONC).Valid certifications, including CSCS/ECS/SKILLcard, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work (mandatory).Technical Knowledge:Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, water/wastewater operations, and commissioning.Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.Familiarity with SHEQ and CDM compliance processes.Skills:Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.Key Behaviours:Exemplifies leadership qualities, acting as a role model for professional and ethical behaviour.Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.Collaborative and customer-focused, fostering a positive team environment.Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.About the Role: This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Project Manager/Engineer seeking a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment.
