About the role
We’re now recruiting a Innovation Strategy Analyst to join our Innovation team at Drax.
You’ll be leading quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, as well as generating key insights to develop recommended solutions for Business Case Development priorities. Your role will support delivery of strategic Innovation projects and involve liaising with teams from across Drax to meet timescales and project deliverables.
Responsibilities will include:
- Rapidly absorbing and understanding a brief from a manager within the Business Case Development team or Innovation business units and understanding their core questions
- Supporting and analysing key strategic investments and business development opportunities
- Employing a range of modelling, valuation, analytical and communication skills
- Helping to build business cases across different opportunities and carry out competition analysis
- Running aspects of financial, operational and/or commercial due diligence process
- Assisting with the investment and/or development approval process, contributing to proposal papers with a full business case and recommendations
- Occasionally reviewing legal, regulatory and commercial documents and assisting in commercial negotiations
Who we’re looking for
You’ll need a strong analytical background, with previous experience working directly within commercial, trading or operational teams in a large corporate.
This role requires experience in financial, commercial or economic modelling to support decision making.
With proven ability to undertake research and analysis, you’ll be able to apply this to initiatives to that develop Innovation targets such as new market entry, segment analysis, competitor assessment, trend analysis to achieve the longer-term business targets.
