We are a very popular and successful Church of England Academy of 1,760 students (335 in the Sixth Form). Our students progress onto world-class universities and institutions to further study or gain apprenticeships and employment. Canon Slade School is a member of the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi-academy trust established in 2017. This is an exciting time to join us as it provides a great opportunity to work closely with the other three schools in the MAT - St James’s C of E High School, Bolton St Catherine’s Academy, and Bury C of E High School; sharing good practice and building on our ongoing progress.
Main Duties:
1. To provide a cleaning service within the school premises
2. Perform commercial cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing designated areas
3. Empty bins and dispose of waste properly
4. Clean washrooms and restock supplies as needed
5. Report any damages or repairs to management promptly
6. Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times
The successful candidate will be someone who:
1. Has a conscientious and diligent work ethic
2. Has high standards and takes pride in delivering a quality service
3. Is friendly and able to communicate in a professional manner with both students and staff
4. Is able to listen to, understand and follow instructions
5. Understands health and safety and COSHH regulations in relation to ensuring safe working practice in undertaking your role
6. Role models those personal qualities we wish to instil in our young people
7. Is willing to undertake training and work flexibly to meet the demands of a continuously improving organization
8. Is a great team player, friendly, and professional
The working hours will be:
Monday – Friday, 6.30 - 8.30 am OR 3.20 - 5.20 pm
