Copello have partnered with an established defence business in the recruitment of an Electronic Equipment Requirement Authority. This role will be based 3 days onsite out of either their Stevenage or Bristol office. This role is paying up to £52,000 depending on experience.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
As an ERA, you will report to the Weapon System Equipment Design Lead, ensuring compliance with platform interfaces and managing work packages from pre-contract bidding to on-contract completion. You'll work alongside national and international design authorities and customers to shape the future of cutting-edge electronic equipment. You will have the chance to drive transformation while enhancing your skills and influencing the design lifecycle from concept to in-service deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the technical status and progression of assigned work packages, covering pre-contract bidding, milestone completion, and complementary research and development.
* Collaborate with national and international customers to define and deliver electronic equipment solutions, including the development of domain-specific requirements and interface definitions.
* Develop and implement strategies for verifying and validating electrical, mechanical, software, and transversal properties of systems and subsystems.
* Support system certification processes, providing assurance evidence for electronic subsystems to ensure successful trials and delivery.
* Facilitate the exchange of technical information and assess it against emerging requirement specifications.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong knowledge and understanding of electronics design, particularly in computing applications and networking technologies.
* Experience with high-integrity hardware is advantageous.
* Demonstrated technical management experience, including leading work packages from pre-contract bidding to on-contract delivery.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders and deliver innovative solutions.
* Expertise in verification, validation, and certification support for electronic equipment and systems.
* Proven ability to manage technical information exchanges and interface definitions.
