Geosyntec is growing in Europe, and we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior or Principal Consultant to join our Environmental Management Practice. We are looking for someone who has an enthusiasm for the environmental, sustainability, and health & safety elements of technical due diligence projects and regulatory compliance work. The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid foundation in the site investigation & remediation sector, with the ability to manage projects for the contaminated land practice when required. You will be supporting national and international clients across a wide range of sectors including the energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, food and beverage, automation and healthcare industries, as well as the mergers, acquisitions and divestments financial sector.
The successful candidate could be based near one of our offices in Manchester, Bristol, or Delph; however, we will also be able to consider fully remote working for candidates based in or close to Greater London.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding service to clients, leading to sole source new work opportunities and expanded relationships.
* Lead selected proposal preparation efforts, contribute to proposal go/no go decisions, and communicate with clients to identify needs.
* Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, monitor budgets, and manage projects to meet contract requirements and industry best practices.
* Act as a Project Director, assisting Project Manager(s) with technical and business components, including achieving scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
* Identify and develop new technical competencies to support market/practice diversification.
* Support and participate in the company health and safety program by enforcing standards and regulations.
* Participate in professional societies and conferences to increase the visibility of the firm.
* Manage and deliver site investigation & remediation projects as required.
Training:
This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring.
Education and Licensure
* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or a similar field of study (required).
* Advanced degree in a similar field of study (preferred).
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of experience in the environmental consulting sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
* Experience with business development, including preparation of proposals.
* Project experience involving environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance, and due diligence (required).
* Experience working on demanding, sophisticated, and legally sensitive projects (preferred).
* Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
