Purpose Of The Role:
To lead a team of Customs Declarants ensuring control of all customs relevant processes
Key Responsibilities:
Technical and disciplinary management of employeesDevelopment of employeesControl and optimisation of the team's customs processes in compliance with legal requirements and adaptation of new regulations / changes in customs lawQuality assurance and control as well as compliance with specified time framesImplementation of internal company guidelinesContact with customs forwarders and colleagues internationally
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven track record in a leadership roleGood knowledge of Third country customs regulationsGood comprehension of Customs procedures and formalitiesWorking knowledge of and familiarity with UK CDS system and proprietary software systemsFamiliar with Microsoft Office programsAn awareness of global geographyHighly adaptable and able to work under pressurised situationsSelf-motivated and ability to take responsibility to resolve issues efficiently and effectivelyExcellent problem solving and analysis skillsAttention to detail and high levels of accuracyExcellent communication skillswith the ability to adapt their style and language (verbal and written) to suit the customer, department or level that they are dealing withAbility to create and maintain harmonious relationships with internal and external customersAbility to influence and impact people across all levels in the organisationA high customer service orientation with a passion for delivering qualitySupportive and coaching capabilitiesTPBN1_UKTJ
