We are looking for a dedicated Production Team Leader to take responsibility for providing exceptional support to stakeholders, the team and other functions as required. What you’ll be doing as our Production Team Leader: Lead and motivate the team, set objectives and targets for Team members to encourage professional development. Lead the team in the planning, delivery of process change. Encourage and foster continues improvement in relation to operator skill, cross training capability, general process, plant improvement and quality performance. Ensure performance appraisals are complete on time, improvement actions captured and complete. Measure and report daily production KPI’s. Plan and maintain manning to ensure efficient work balance. Ensure standardized work is maintain at all times. Ensure shift LPA’s are complete to schedule and actions are closed out on time. Manage versatility matrix, manage skill gap and improve flexibility of production team. Ensure that contingency plans are tested in line with the planed schedule. Drive continues improvement initiatives within the team. Support the shift manager with training and manage skill gaps to improve team knowledge of lean principals. Ensure robust shift handover is maintained with opposite shift. Ensure and deliver proactive health and safety standards at all times on shift. Monitor production health and safety KPI’s (PI, Near miss, Accidents & LTI) and that robust action plans are in place to drive improvement. Lead first level investigation of quality issues withing the ST problem solving format. Support NCR meetings and action production issues. Effective communication of quality standards. Lead first level scrap investigations and reduction initiatives. Manage and maintain ST business operating system in your respective area of responsibility. Champion continues improvement initiatives in your respective area. The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Production Team Leader: Excellent organisation and communication skills. Thorough production and process knowledge. Confident in decision making and problem solving skills, with an understanding of problem solving tools. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Lean Principals is preferred. Need to have: Proven experience of leading a team in high volume, shift based manufacturing or similar environment. Nice to have: HNC in Mechanical Engineer or similar relevant subject. PC literacy skills (Word/Excel/Outlook/SAP). You’ll have these personal attributes: Good communication skills.
