We are seeking a Construction Service Marine Specialist to support the development and implementation of marine management procedures for three major offshore wind farms. This role demands a strong understanding of UK Maritime Regulations, offshore logistics, and marine coordination.
As part of this specialist position, you will be integral in defining vessel strategies and ensuring compliance with The Crown Estate requirements, Marina Management Regulations, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK maritime regulations, including those set by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), Marine Management Organisation (MMO), The Crown Estate, UK Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ), and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
* Vessel Selection & Chartering: Define vessel specifications for offshore wind farm operations, perform vessel suitability assessments, and assist with the vessel procurement process.
* Marine Coordination Planning: Develop a comprehensive Marine Coordination Plan for offshore construction and operations, including vessel tracking, exclusion zones, offshore communications, and emergency response protocols.
* Risk Management: Conduct navigational risk assessments (NRAs) and ensure compliance with UK marine traffic regulations.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience: 7+ years in offshore wind, marine coordination, or offshore oil and gas marine operations.
* International Experience: Proven experience working in an international environment with multinational teams and global stakeholders.
* Expertise: Strong knowledge of marine logistics, vessel coordination, and offshore wind farm construction methods.
* Certifications: Marine safety and marine coordination certifications (preferred).
* Additional Experience: Chartering and vessel management experience (preferred).
