Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a love of the outdoors to join the growing team based at our Wolverhampton office, on a permanent basis.
Working as a Field Technician within a small, dynamic, and flexible team, the successful candidate will undertake all aspects of hydrometric data collection, management, and processing of environmental data sets, as well as internal and external reporting of the collected data.
Additional responsibilities include participating in large-scale projects across the company that require both fieldwork and desk-based tasks, such as drilling supervision, water feature surveying, and contributing to technical reports.
This position offers valuable experience within a fast-paced consultancy environment, with opportunities to develop practical and theoretical skills in hydrogeology and hydrology, alongside a diverse workload and potential career progression.
About You:
The ideal candidate will preferably hold an undergraduate degree in geology, environmental science, or a related discipline, and be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Experience with GIS, field data collection, data logging equipment/software, and working within health and safety protocols is preferred but not essential.
The role suits a technically minded, innovative, and practical individual with good time management skills and problem-solving abilities, comfortable working outdoors and in an office environment.
The role requires regular business driving throughout the UK and ROI, and a full, current driving license is mandatory.
