Job Description:
The Substance Misuse Recovery Service provides community-based, holistic, and recovery-focused treatment services to drug and alcohol users across Shetland. In this busy role, you will be responsible for the provision of local coordination and administration services as part of the Substance Misuse Team, ensuring the services operate smoothly and effectively. Duties will include diary management, supporting clinical staff with prescribing management systems, booking clinics and appointments, appointment letters, and preparing relevant client documentation.
A proactive approach to prioritising your workload according to departmental needs will be essential, along with significant experience in an administrative or secretarial role. We are looking for candidates with a good level of general education as well as specific qualifications (or equivalent experience) in admin/secretarial studies to NVQ 3/RSA 3 level or equivalent. Audio Transcription/Medical Word Processing skills are essential in addition to good organisational skills. You will need to develop and maintain an understanding of substance misuse issues.
