This pivotal role will establish a centralised planning and scheduling hub, leveraging real-time data and analytics to optimize traffic flow, resource allocation, and road space management. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, including diversion managers, traffic management specialists, and optimisation experts, ensuring operational efficiency and an enhanced road user experience. Location: Leatherhead, South Mimms or Dartford. What you'll be doing Oversee the creation and operation of the ‘Operations Hub’, ensuring seamless integration of planning, road space, resourcing, and scheduling functions. Identify opportunities for improved accuracy, cost and schedule savings through enhanced planning processes and technology integration. Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Promote a strong culture of safety, ensuring the team upholds the highest health and wellbeing standards. Lead all control room functions, leveraging real-time data and analytics for informed operational decision-making. Ensure all operational activities align with CPS strategy and business objectives. Encourage continuous learning and skill development to enhance team capabilities and performance. Establish clear targets and KPIs for the Operations Hub, regularly tracking and reporting on performance. Manage the operational budget, including cost control, recruitment, and financial forecasting to ensure efficiency and sustainability. Produce high-quality monthly management reports on operational performance, presenting insights to internal and external stakeholders. Represent the Operations Hub in community forums, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, fostering strong relationships and collaboration. Who we're looking for Qualifications/ skills/ experience: Engineering or technical background with significant experience in managing large-scale operational functions. Proven experience in logistics, planning and project controls best practices. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with Framework Contractors, third parties, and clients. Strong business acumen with experience in interpreting and influencing operational contracts. Proficiency in data analysis and real-time operational decision-making; an understanding of traffic management systems and technologies is desirable. Experience working in highways or a DBFO/PFI environment is highly desirable.
