What is the opportunity?
The Intermediary channel was established in 2012 and has expanded steadily since then. The channel now manages more than £18bn of assets, is the fastest growing area within Brewin and the most used Discretionary Manager in the UK financial services sector. It now requires three Business Engagement Coordinators on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract to support the Head of Planning & Execution on a project due to increased requirements to adhere to Money Laundering regulations. It requires engagement with external vendors and the internal project team, as well as quality assurance against deliverables.
The Business Engagement Coordinator will be a motivated self-starter, that will contribute to the remediation project from inception to completion. Teamwork is an important element, and the Business Engagement Coordinator will need to work independently, at pace, and be comfortable to ensure productivity is efficient and deadlines are achieved.
What will you do?
* Work to deliver on the current Remediation Project to strengthen our process and policy of onboarding and reviewing Intermediary firms.
* Ensure all proformas and assessment form for the remediation work are completed to the agreed standard and the evidence collected corroborates.
* Take part in project working groups, daily calls and with internal group functions
* Prepare project updates and analytics for discussion on key topics for the Intermediaries ManCo and other senior management and governance committees.
* Work with external vendors, ensuring they are progressing through the SoW as agreed and the evidence is uploaded correctly.
* Escalate any risks or issues identified through the remediation to ManCo and working closely with the Business Development Managers to manage any issues.
* Update records within our internal systems as necessary and ensuring a high level of data management.
* Extract and monitor other key KRIs, Management Information and other data, as required.
* Identify any opportunities for streamlining current processes and challenging as required.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
* Basic understanding of AML and KYC.
* Experience in dealing with the onboarding of firms or specific remediation projects.
* Experience working across projects and initiatives in a structured and well organised manner.
* Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel – VLookups and Pivots at a minimum)
* Meticulous attention to detail, taking pride in high quality output.
* Numerate – with the ability to define and present MI fit for purpose.
* Flexibility to travel across RBCBD’s branch network, as needed.
* Eager to learn about the Intermediary business and to broaden their knowledge base.
