We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team on Ward 21, a busy and dynamic Respiratory medical ward.
Ward 21 is a modern, 24-bed clinical area, specialising in the treatment of a variety of acute respiratory conditions. The ward accommodates patients with complex respiratory needs, and we provide a supportive and caring environment. We also offer en-suite facilities for 12 single rooms, ensuring a comfortable setting for our patients.
As part of our team, you will work alongside a well-established medical team and a multidisciplinary ward staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day care of our patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care during their stay.

Person Specification
Contractual Requirements
* Flexible approach
* Able to work flexibly on a varied shift pattern according to the roster including nights and weekends
Experience
* Able to demonstrate clear and robust verbal and written English communication skills
* Experience of working as part of a team
* Previous care work experience
* Previous experience in a hospital setting
Further Training
* Able to attend a 5-day Clinical Induction
* Committed to attending further training and development as identified
Qualifications
* NVQ 2 in care or willingness to work towards
* Educated to a good standard of general education equivalent to GCSE Maths & English level C or above
* Care Certificate or commitment to achieving within 2 weeks of commencement
* NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care Certificate
Knowledge Requirements
* Must understand basic requirements for individualised personal care
* Recognise people's right to privacy and dignity, treating every person with respect
* Awareness of Safeguarding issues
