Reporting to the Head of Performance & Reward, we have an opportunity for you to lead the design of our pension and benefits, ensuring this is aligned to the values, goals, and objectives of Santander UK business strategic workforce plans and our People Deal. As the Pension and Benefits Lead, you'll work closely with Senior Management, the HR leadership team and Strategic People Partners to develop the pension and benefits strategy in support of the business agenda, with handovers to the People Solutions pool to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions are delivered. You'll also work in partnership with colleagues within the Reward CoE, across the Talent and Culture CoEs and other HR teams. This opportunity sits in our newly formed Performance & Reward Centre of Excellence ('COE'), and will support the Strategic People Solutions team forming a community of practice to share technical expertise to ensure the total reward strategy is executed effectively with the business. The difference you'll make: Supporting the Head of Performance and Reward COE on all elements of pension and benefits design as part of the total reward strategy in collaboration with senior management, within HR and across functions to support the strategic and culture objectives of the Bank To determine the medium and long-term pension and benefits strategy for the full San UK population, taking into account the divisional and organisation wide strategic priorities Developing the pension and benefits strategy, taking input from the Reward Business Partnering and Strategic People Partnering Teams with handovers for implementation to the People Solutions Team for delivery Leading on all pension and benefits elements of our People Deal, critically monitoring and reviewing current policies and practices and proactively recommending new and innovative strategies Working closely with People Interactions to develop the model for delivery of the pensions and benefits strategy via our external supplier platforms and providing technical expertise for urgent issues, critical cyclical compliance, and employee experience as well as continuous process and control improvement Carrying out data research, listening, analysis and presentation of benchmarking data in relation to pension and benefits across the full San UK population and ensure that our total reward framework remains fit-for-purpose What you'll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: Excellent numerical and analytical skills with technical pension and benefits expertise and related legislation practices Ability to communicate efficiently, build and maintain great working relationships with senior stakeholders Proven ability to systematically analyse information and cut through complexity to bring clear, relevant and intelligible recommendations Ability to translate complex strategic business plans into actionable programmes It would also be nice for you to have: Undergraduate degree in Business or Human Resource Management - CIPD HR Level 5 - or equivalent Business and commercial awareness and making links to broader organisational strategy Demonstrable time management skills and the ability to influence others to a desired outcome Understanding of agile and related project management methodologies What else you need to know: This role is based in Milton Keynes. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
