Accounts Assistant Annual Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 Location: Earls Colne, CO6 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Join our leading training provider in the care sector as an Accounts Assistant. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive team, contributing significantly to our accounts department. Day-to-day of the role: Manage credit control and maintain accurate records for both purchase ledger and sales ledger invoices, including posting to the system and matching receipts. Prepare supplier payments and assist the finance director with accounts administration. Conduct daily reconciliations and handle general queries both internally and externally. Filing, accepting inbound and outbound telephone calls, and replying to emails while directing them to relevant departments. Liaise with other departments within the company to ensure smooth operation and communication. Required Skills & Qualifications: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team. Experience with Xero software is essential. High level of customer service and communication skills. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and use initiative in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail and strong administrative skills. Professional telephone manner. Ability to drive is necessary due to the rural location of the head office. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts is required. GCSE or equivalent qualification is preferred.
