About The Role We are currently looking to recruit aHead of Architecture - a hands-on, strategic thinker who can define and shape HomeServes architectural future. This is more than a technical role; it's a leadership opportunity where your expertise will directly influence our technology strategy, delivery capability, and team culture. We work in a hybrid work model, with 2 to 3 days onsite and the remaining days working from home. The salary is £95,000 - £115,000 £7000 cash/car allowance, 15% bonus, 6% matched pension and private medical cover. More about the role; As the Head of Architecture, you will be the lead architect responsible for developing, maintaining, and governing HomeServes architecture practice across both solution delivery and enterprise architecture. You will set the vision, provide governance, and ensure our systems and technology align seamlessly with our business objectives. This role is about more than just technology; its about fostering collaboration, culture, and innovation within the Tech & Change function. You will partner closely with business leaders, ensuring that our architecture strategy is not just understood, but actively driving transformation. Leading enterprise-wide architecture strategy, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions. Owning the architectural roadmap, balancing strategic transformation with immediate business needs. Providing hands-on technical leadership, ensuring projects meet business and functional requirements while adhering to architectural best practices. Defining and championing architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks. Partnering with security and infrastructure teams to optimise performance, scalability, and resilience. Driving modern technology adoption to enhance business capabilities and reduce complexity within our technology ecosystem. Acting as a mentor and coach, fostering a high-performance culture within your team and across the broader technology organisation. About the person; Proven leadership in architecture at an enterprise level, including experience in large-scale digital transformations. A hands-on approach, ensuring pragmatic and delivery-focused architectural decision-making. Deep expertise in solution and enterprise architecture, balancing technical excellence with business pragmatism. Experience with cloud technologies, microservices, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns. A strong ability to challenge the status quo, drive innovation, and bring modern engineering and architecture practices to life.
