Secondary and SEN Teaching Assistants
Teaching Personnel are currently working with schools in East Cornwall, who are looking for Teaching Assistants. We have part-time and full-time roles available for the right individuals, beginning in January. Applicants should ensure they are available for a minimum of 2/3 days per week, when applying.
We are looking for people who are enthusiastic and have an excellent attitude towards the education sector. Knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum is advantageous, but not essential. We are looking for people who have classroom experience, as well as people with transferrable skills, who are looking for a new challenge. Individuals with background in Support Work, Care Work or Education are encouraged to apply.
Roles and responsibilities will include, working with students in both small groups, and on a one-to-one basis, as well as supporting the teacher in the classroom. Teaching Assistants will be required to provide support and encouragement to students.
Individuals will need to have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service prior to being placed in a school, however, assistance can be provided with this during the registration process. Knowledge of policies including Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Equal Opportunities, and Teaching and Learning is crucial to the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
