TXM are working with a new and growing client who are seeking a Shotblaster to join the team, working on a variety of large-scale projects, including HGVs, trailers, tankers, aerospace vehicles, silos, and structural components. Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and shotblasting surfaces of HGVs, trailers, tankers, aerospace components, silos, and steel structures to industry standards.
2. Operating and maintaining blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Ensuring all work is completed to the required specifications and quality standards.
4. Conducting pre-blasting surface inspections and masking components as necessary.
5. Working with different blasting media and adjusting techniques based on material types.
6. Following strict health and safety guidelines, including PPE requirements.
7. Assisting with general workshop duties as required.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a Shotblaster (preferably on large vehicles or industrial structures).
2. Knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques, equipment, and media types.
3. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety guidelines.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
5. Aware of health and safety regulations in an industrial environment.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
1. Experience in priming and painting post-shotblasting is an advantage.
2. Forklift or overhead crane experience (training can be provided).
