We are one of the UK's leading suppliers of architectural aluminium profiles within the construction industry as well as being one of the UK’s leading suppliers of waterproofing solutions, predominantly for flat roofs. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our existing team and we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Fabrications Design Technician to join our team in Poole, Dorset.
This is a permanent position offering an annual salary of £45 - 50,000.00 DOE.
Working hours: 39.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm / Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm
Key Responsibilities:
· Overall responsibility for the design / back office.
· To produce quality and detailed mechanical CAD / SolidWorks drawings.
· Work with existing team to help develop and nurture, if required.
· Ensuring that the quality of work produced from the design / back office is always maintained.
· Ensuring that our drawing systems and company processes are met to current and projected requirements.
· To communicate clearly and effectively with our clients, employees, and architects at all times.
· To deal with any internal or external enquiries, queries or issues that may arise in a professional and timely manner.
· To remain up to date with all technical aspects of the company’s products and services as well as all relevant aspects of the business sector and wider industry.
· Prepare and submit quotations to our customers and/or sales team within a specified time frame, when required.
· Ensuring that our CRM system and project records are always kept up to date.
· To undertake any training, as required, to develop and maintain personal skills to help fulfil the above duties and standards.
Requirements
Essential:
· AutoCAD
· SolidWorks
· Sheet metal / mechanical experience.
· Able to understand technical and/or architectural drawings.
· Experience with Office 365 to included outlook and excel.
· CRM experience.
· Excellent organisational skills.
· Excellent communications skills.
