This is a hybrid role where you will manage a portfolio of clients and be expected to prospect for new commercial business. They will also consider candidates with Commercial Account Handling experience who prefer not to move into a full BDM role.
Ideally, you will have experience in Commercial Insurance and be a confident communicator capable of working in a team environment. Driving is preferred as there may be a requirement to travel to other offices and visit clients, but it is not essential. The role primarily involves acting as a BDE, dealing with Commercial Insurance renewals.
If you hold the CII qualification, that's great; if not, you must be willing to study for it, fully funded by the company, after your probationary period.
Job Description
This role involves developing and maintaining a client portfolio, building long-term relationships, and handling new business, renewals, and adjustments through client contact and presentations. You will also be targeted to prospect for new commercial business.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve individual sales targets through new business and renewals, self-monitoring sales activity to maximize all avenues
* Track and monitor progress of activities, including conversion rates for leads, appointments, quotes, and sales
* Support and adhere to sales incentives across the company, including cross-selling, networking, and referrals
* Maintain high customer service levels and ensure team KPIs are met
* Respond to telephone inquiries promptly
* Send out comprehensive presentations to market, ensuring the best premium and coverage for clients' needs
* Process all administrative tasks in a timely manner
* Build and sustain long-term client relationships
You should be experienced in Commercial Insurance, capable of selling, upselling, and renewals, and adept at building client relationships.
