Description
Primarily you’ll be supervising the day to day activity of our Technical team, ensuring everyone returns home safe and well each day and our compliance and quality standards are maintained.
Working closely with our Sales and Operations teams, you’ll act as a technical expert in supporting the resolution of complaints and queries and offering recommendations for alternative products when needed.
You’ll also report and interpret test data from our online portal and produce reports of non-conforming material, ensuring corrective action is taken and root cause analysis is carried out. You’ll work as part of the wider team to optimise the use of materials; you’ll also have the opportunity to develop new products and concepts as we continue to grow and diversify. This role does not have any direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
· Interpretation of incoming specifications and recommending suitable mixes in compliance with British Standards
· Compile technical data, such as mix designs and raw material data sheets as required
· Understanding of Breedon performance products and how to promote them accordingly
· Supporting internal and external audits
· Writing quality reports
· Validation of results
· Operating the FPC control systems for all products, reporting issues and take appropriate action to maintain control or provide solutions/recommendations.
· Reporting and discuss internal material/product issues with the appropriate manager with a view to obtaining a satisfactory resolution
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Experience in a technical capacity for ready mix concrete and aggregates
* The ability to put forward strong, rational arguments, and are able to demonstrate a rational decision-making process whilst under pressure.
