Are you an ARB registered Architect with a passion for good quality place making?
Our busy Architecture team has an exciting opportunity for an ARB registered Architect to join them in either our Bristol (Victoria Street) or Reading (The Blade) office, both of which are modern, open plan offices hosting a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment.
You will work on a range of exciting projects including residential and mixed-use developments across the UK. The team’s clients include landowners, developers, Local Authorities, Registered Providers and national house builders, providing an enviable and loyal client list. You will support the team by contributing to the design process across the RIBA workstages, taking responsibility for and delivering information packages including drawings and reports (e.g., design and access statements) and providing tailored, expert advice to clients.
Your role will include:
1. Preparing designs proposals, diagrams and visualisations using Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Lumion and the Adobe Suite.
2. Contributing to the design process of projects, from concept to planning approval.
3. Preparing baseline site and context analysis to inform the design process.
4. Maintaining an awareness of compliance requirements for design, legal, statutory and professional requirements.
You will:
1. Have experience in working on UK residential and mixed-use developments post Part 3 qualification.
2. Have experience of dealing with and collating packages of design information.
3. Contribute towards design information packages and design and access statements, from planning applications through to tender and delivery packages.
4. Have a flair for creative design.
5. Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with good attention to detail.
6. Possess technical awareness and knowledge of current UK building regulations.
7. Have exceptional presentation and graphical skills.
8. Be competent in using software packages including Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Sketchup. Experience in Lumion is preferable but not essential.
9. Have a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
10. Have excellent time management skills, particularly in managing your own deadlines.
