About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Care Manager to lead and manage a care home in Hertfordshire, providing high-quality care for 32 residents. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a well-established home, ensuring that residents receive the best possible care in a safe and supportive environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvements in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care are consistently maintained.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home complies with all relevant regulations, including CQC standards, and maintain up-to-date documentation.
Care Quality: Oversee the development and delivery of care plans for residents, ensuring they receive person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
Staff Management: Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
Financial Management: Assist with budget management, ensuring the home operates efficiently and within budget.
Family and Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents' families, external agencies, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent care provision.
Health and Safety: Ensure the home is a safe environment for both residents and staff, adhering to health and safety protocols. Requirements:
Registered Manager status with experience managing a care home (ideally with 30+ residents).
Proven experience in a senior care management role, including overseeing budgets, staff, and regulatory compliance.
Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
