About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging RE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications and the school's religious ethos. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their religious and ethical understanding. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including theological texts, philosophical debates, interfaith dialogue, and ethical case studies, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of religious and ethical concepts and skills. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and religious scholarship. Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and resources, integrating current religious and ethical debates and interfaith initiatives. Foster a love of religious and ethical inquiry in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, and to appreciate the diversity of religious and philosophical perspectives. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider spiritual and ethical life of the school. Organize and lead religious and ethical discussions, debates, and interfaith activities, promoting tolerance and understanding. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies, including theology, philosophy, and ethics, and a deep understanding of the school's religious ethos. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. A passion for religious and ethical inquiry and a commitment to fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding. Ability to organize and lead religious and ethical discussions and activities.
