Assistant Head Teacher - Altrincham
Simply Education is delighted to partner with an exceptional educational provision in Altrincham that is seeking a compassionate and committed Assistant Head Teacher to join their leadership team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about driving positive change and supporting students with special educational needs (SEND).

Our client, an Ofsted-rated 'Good' specialist provision, delivers a child-centred approach to learning with a comprehensive national curriculum, including early years foundation stage, vocational pathways (Unit Award Schemes, GCSEs, and BTEC qualifications), and strong community connections. Key Responsibilities:
As Assistant Head Teacher, you will:
1. Lead and inspire staff and students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
2. Develop and implement school-wide strategies to support students with SEND, including those with Autism and SEMH needs.
3. Oversee and enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
4. Model high expectations for behaviour, learning, and leadership.
5. Support the Head Teacher in shaping the school's strategic direction and operational effectiveness.
6. Build and sustain strong relationships with parents, students, and external partners.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic leader with:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and leadership experience (e.g., as Assistant Head, Phase Leader, or SENCO).
2. A strong understanding of SEND, particularly Autism and SEMH, and experience supporting students in a mainstream or specialist setting.
3. Excellent communication, resilience, and interpersonal skills.
4. A passion for inclusive education and a proven track record of driving positive outcomes for students.
5. The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop others.
6. A driving license and access to transport (desirable).
