Position Overview:
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing and completing bid/submittal documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
The Estimator is responsible for estimating projects and works with other Estimators, suppliers, and customers to complete the estimate.
The Estimator is responsible for developing and completing project-specific estimates and early project viability assessments for clients' bid-type requests. You will be involved with overall cost analysis and pre-project and post-project reviews.
Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials for an estimate.
2. Produce estimates takeoff by using various methods (comprehensive, median, historical, conceptual).
3. Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for accuracy with plans and specifications.
4. Meet with Project Management and operations to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes, and other aspects for a successful transition.
5. Responsible for the timely completion of all estimates and client-required documents.
6. Write scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.
7. The responsibilities describe the general nature and scope of work being performed. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
8. Microsoft Office & Excel Experience.
Qualifications:
1. 10+ years of experience is required.
2. At least two (2) years experience as an Electrical Estimator.
3. High School Diploma and Additional Specialized Training Required.
4. Ability to read and write in English.
