Our client is looking for a dedicated Community Teacher to support students in West Northamptonshire who have experienced challenges in their education. In this rewarding role, you will work with a small caseload of up to five students, delivering personalised academic and pastoral support in community settings such as homes, local facilities, and learning hubs. Your goal is to break down barriers to learning and support students in re-engaging with formal education.

Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
* A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work towards it.
* Degree or equivalent, with Maths and English at Level 2 or higher.
* A specialist teaching qualification in a specific subject (desirable).
Skills & Experience:
* Strong organisation & behaviour management – Ability to support students effectively in an alternative education setting.
* Community engagement – Experience working with parents, local organisations, and stakeholders to support students with diverse needs.
* Safeguarding & inclusion knowledge – Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, equality, and alternative education.
* Problem-solving ability – Skilled at identifying and addressing student challenges with tailored support.
* Effective communication – Strong written and verbal skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues.
* Experience in secondary education – A creative and adaptable teaching approach that motivates and inspires students. Familiarity with virtual learning environments is a plus.
