The role: We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to our CFO / Senior Finance Manager and working closely with the wider team you will be responsible for key parts of the finance function, supporting our fast growing scale-up business across multiple geographies and business segments. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both the commercial function within a growing technology business as well as the day to day functioning of a startup finance team. You will be primarily responsible for our invoicing process across our entities in the UK, US, France and Australia, chasing and collecting payments from customers. You will play a key role in our monthly reporting cycle, taking responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and monthly management accounting and reporting. You will also work closely with our Chief Commercial Officer and Strategy Manager, running the commissions process across our entities and getting involved in analytical and commercial projects. The business has ambitious growth plans, having recently completed the acquisition of Seiza, so there are opportunities waiting for you to get involved across the business and develop your skills and knowledge. We are a small team so you will be exposed to a variety of areas including the invoicing and debtors cycle, commission schemes, supporting our strategic plans, budgeting, management reporting and analysis, annual audit and statutory accounts, and driving efficiencies across the business. This is a great opportunity to learn the skills of company accounting whilst working in a small team who have the experience and time to really help you grow. Key responsibilities: Managing our Accounts Receivables process Preparing and sending client invoices in a timely manner Reconciliation of revenue against our internal reporting tools Working across the business to ensure invoices are paid on time, escalating where relevant in good time Client invoice queries Managing and running sales commissions process Calculating monthly commissions and sharing with exec team for approvals Providing analysis to help support the shaping of future commission scheme plans Month end reporting, preparing management accounts and other key internal reports Revenue reporting and analysis Business partnering with our Chief Commercial Officer and Strategy Manager on key commercial priorities for the business Analytical support to commercial teams Support the finance team on annual audit and ad hoc reporting Requirements We don’t like to put people in boxes, but you’ll be able to demonstrate experience of, or aptitude for much of the below: Almost qualified or newly qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA accountant with strong academic background Strong understanding of FRS 102 Experience working to tight deadlines and managing a busy workload A degree (2:1 or better) and/or accounting technical qualification Strong Excel and analytical skills as well as good attention to detail Exposure to Xero is a plus butwe can teach you this Personal Characteristics: Self motivated and driven Well organised, able to prioritise and juggle a busy workload effectively Strong attention to detail Fluency in English and strong communication skills, both verbal and written (French fluency is a bonus) Commercially minded and business savvy Hard working, can do attitude, willing to roll sleeves up and support the business wherever needed Organised and efficient Desire to learn and grow Flexible and loyal What’s in it for you?
