We are working with a Global Finance company who are looking to recruit a D365 Business Systems Developer.
The D365 Business Systems Developer will require a good understanding of the product and how it fits within the wider technology landscape and D365 production and delivery process. The work will be delivered using their continuous delivery methodology work across IT and the business to gather requirements, look for opportunity and deliver, test and document service improvements across the Dynamics 365 services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement modules to meet business requirements which include entities, forms, views, workflows, Power Automate flows and business rules.
2. Support Digital Transformation deployment, go live, service introduction and post go live activities.
3. Develop custom plugins, workflows, Power Automate flows, and JavaScript to extend D365 CE functionality with an ability to write efficient reusable, and well-documented code.
4. Integrate D365 CE with other applications and systems using tools like Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and custom APIs.
5. Develop the Dynamics 365 environment to enable the successful delivery of the Groups Digital Transformation and IT’s target operating model.
6. Manage and control D365 release process working closely with service providers as well as Digital Transformation
7. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for D365 applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes and enhancements.
8. Assist in data migration tasks, ensuring accurate and secure transfer of data from legacy systems to D365
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
10. Stay updated with the latest D365 CE features and updates. Evaluate and implement upgrades and enhancements to improve system performance and functionality.
11. Conduct thorough testing of customisations and configurations, identifying and fixing bugs and issues as they arise.
12. Define Dynamics 365 through the application of best practise and industry standards including Microsoft Well Architected Framework, security controls and global data residency legislation, whilst nurturing and supporting our business during their transition to the technology from legacy services
Key Relationships:
1. Architecture in order to ensure developments are aligned with the future state architecture.
2. Close alignment and partnership working with Dynamics 365 business owners to ensure developments meet business requirements.
3. Change team to ensure alignment of change programmes to Dynamics 365 roadmaps.
4. Governance and GBS teams to ensure alignment of Dynamics 365 to regulatory best practice.
5. Enterprise Services Platform CoE teams to ensure alignment of specific technical approaches
6. Peer exchange groups and forums to ensure current best practice is considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. In-depth understanding of the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) platform, including its architecture, entities, relationships, security model, and customisation.
2. Proficiency in programming languages including C#, JavaScript and JSON with strong knowledge in Dynamics CRM and Power Platform, Unified Service Desk (USD), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SSIS packages development and Azure Cloud and integration.
3. Proficiency in developing plugins, Power Automate flows, Power Apps, Power Portal using Power Pages and Power BI.
4. Knowledge of creating and utilising web resources for implementing custom UI components and scrips within Dynamics 365 CE.
5. Experience in developing Azure services, including data migration and integration services to connect Dynamics 365 CE with other applications and services.
6. Experience of shaping and delivering Dynamics 365 service improvements and ongoing management working across business functions and vendors.
7. Experience of working in organisations undergoing significant transformation.
8. Experience of software lifecycle implementation methodologies and release processes with version control for managing source code and collaborative development.
9. Ability to create technical documentation, including design specification, test plans, and user guides.
10. Experience of working across IT towers and business departments to gather requirements and deliver service improvements.
11. Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of detailed technical concepts and to apply this understanding to everyday business problems.
12. Proficiency in testing and debugging customisations to ensure they meet the specified requirements and do not adversely impact the system.
13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think laterally and conceptually.
