Your role and responsibilities The successful applicant will be given training and support to complete their practical skills for the NPL, to help complete their nursing qualification. The successful candidate will be working alongside our team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses and Patient Care Assistants to deliver gold standard veterinary care to our patients. As part of our structured student training schedule, you will rotate around core areas of the hospital (wards, theatre, diagnostics and ICU) whilst being supported by a trained clinical supervisor, skilled nurses and the Team Leader of Education. Students will be expected to write up witness statements and complete NPL logs during their own time. Working hours are for students to practice nursing skills whilst providing patient care and to gain the cases to prove competency. SVN Rota 1 in 5 weekends (Saturday and Sunday): Early - 07.00-16.00 Late - 13.00-22.00 Note: You will get the following Monday and Tuesday off, after working your weekend shift. Weekly shift times (Mon-Fri): 07.00-15.00 08.00-16.00 09.00-17.00 10.00-18.00 13.00-21.00 Must complete 2 Bank Holidays per Year (Note: If you work Christmas Day or Boxing Day for the year, either day will count as working two BHs for that year) 5-week block rotations around the hospital.
