About the Role
Newport Surgery in Saffron Walden are recruiting a permanent salaried GP to join our friendly practice team on a full or part-time basis.
We are a great team of five GPs, an ANP, paramedic, nurses and HCAs. We work successfully with our PCN partners in providing excellent collaborative care for our patients, including a successful joint covid and flu vaccination programme.
Main duties will include:
* Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
* Ensure the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
* Undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
* Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
* Provide counselling and health education.
* Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
* Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collect data for audit purposes.
About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.

* Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
* Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
