About the Team
We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Communications Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team on an initial 6-month contract. You will be reporting to the Head of Marketing and working along-side other Marketing contractors and key stake holders within the central services teams.

You will be a brand-focused communications professional, who has a passion for writing and creating engaging, tailored messages in line with the organization’s tone of voice. The ideal candidate will be a detail orientated, self-starter and highly experienced in multichannel communications planning and execution.
What you’ll be doing
Commencing in February 2025, this is a unique role for someone who is highly collaborative and versatile. You will work across the AC, supporting global and regional communications activities, working as part of the Marketing Team, and working with the regional and central leadership teams, as well as web and business support teams.
We are looking for someone who will be hands-on and has demonstrated their track record in the following areas:
Key Responsibilities
Content creation and management: Develop and oversee the creation of high-quality written content for various platforms, including website copy, adverts, social media posts, email newsletters, press releases, brochures, case studies, video scripts, and other marketing materials.
Optimize copy for SEO and ensure effective distribution across relevant channels, including email marketing, the AC website and social media. Monitor performance and make data-driven adjustments.
Work collaboratively with Global Services and our Digital Marketing Coordinator to roll out a new email communications strategy and process. Create and manage email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, engage members and promote AC events and services, utilizing compelling content to drive conversations.
Public relations: Develop and implement public relations plans to build brand awareness and secure media coverage.
Event marketing: Support the marketing and promotion of AC events, conferences and webinars creating content to support the event promotion and attendee engagement.
Reporting and Analysis: Track, analyse and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communications activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement, with specific focus on content performance.
Maintain project plans and timelines for assigned activities.
Maintain and promote the highest standards of quality and integrity.
Person Specification
Educated to degree level, with a minimum of 5 years experience in marketing communications, ideally within a membership organization or a non-profit.
Proven experience of content creation and email marketing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong story telling ability.
Experience of public relations and event management in a B2B setting.
Strong project management and organizational skills, experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience of working in a global/ international organization.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, global team.
Good understanding of the coaching industry (desirable).
Set up as a self-employed contractor or limited company
Rate and Hours
We are seeking a self-employed candidate available to work up to 60 hours per month, (ideally delivered daily, Monday to Friday) at a rate of £22-25 per hour, initially 6 month contract, with potential to extend.

You will also need excellent general computer skills with a working knowledge of Office applications, for example Microsoft Excel, Customer Relationships Management (CRM) systems and file management using Cloud services (eg Dropbox).
