Our Finance Global Shared Service Centre based on the CSL Seqirus site in Liverpool (Speke) supports our 3 main businesses: CSL Behring, CSL Seqirus and CSL Vifor globally and is expanding. As part of this growth we are looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Manager.
This is a new role within the Accounts Receivable function and leads the Global Accounts Receivable team for CSL Seqirus, CSL Behring & CSL Vifor to ensure timely and effective collection of debt & allocation of customer payments. This role will be the escalation point for collections and cash application issues, ad hoc customer queries, and will manage dispute resolution.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, motivate and develop team members including effective long-term talent development and succession planning.
* Manage performance with a focus on meeting service agreements and continuously enhancing team capability, while role modelling CSL Values.
* Manage difficult collection disputes and other collection escalations.
* Support and respond to complex ad hoc requests (e.g., queries from finance, customer service teams, audit partners etc).
* Manage and resolve escalated customer collection & cash application queries.
* Drive harmonization of Collection & Cash Application practices across CSL group.
* Drive efficiencies within the AR team to maximize team performance.
* Complete Month end reporting including debt outstanding, team KPI’s and Bad Debt Provisions.
* Liaise with Commercial Operations monthly, to resolve customer queries and discuss customer financial health.
* Ensure all doubtful debt is recorded and communicated to the business.
* Support ad hoc projects or continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field required. Professional certification (CPA/CMA) preferred.
* Several years’ experience in accounting and finance including Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications and Collections.
* Proven supervisory or demonstrated leadership experience, ideally across international locations.
* Experience in multi-national company, with a background in a global scientific/pharmaceutical industry desirable.
* The position also requires the ability to build and maintain sound relationships and collaborate effectively with multiple levels and cross functionally with E2E Finance.
* Ability to think through ambiguous issues.
* Timely decision making and priority setting.
* Strong analytical thinking and organizational agility.
