About the Role This is a superb opportunity to join a dynamic team, managing a critical element within the overall Cambridge Relocation project - the first project of its type to be delivered to a state-of-the-art operationally Carbon Net Zero treatment facility. The role will be responsible in managing the Supply Chain to deliver the tunnelling, shaft, and infrastructure mains connecting to and discharging from the relocated Cambridge Wastewater Treatment Plant. Key Responsibilities The successful Project Manager will be accountable for managing the supply chain delivery partners to ensure time, cost, and SHEQ performance associated with the infrastructure works: Deliver infrastructure scope on time and to budget, whilst working to assigned responsibilities in accordance with Plan for Stage. Involved in running the plan for completion, ensuring realistic dates are set for the deliverables. Identify and manage specific risks, mitigate project delays and proactively manage risks within time and cost allowances. Apply sustainability principles and work collaboratively with others, finding the best solutions to meet project KPIs. Apply production management to ensure efficiency, whilst working with the site teams to reduce waste and minimise carbon through materials, time and ways of working. Ensure excellence in Health, Safety, Welfare and Quality; and be confident to report concerns when on site. Support change control, early warning process, and maintain efficient close-out of all project elements to meet requirements and enable final accounts completion. Report all scope changes and ensure that the change control and technical query processes are adhered to. Maintain excellent communications with the HOD, Commercial, Design and Site Team, whilst recognising and reporting key issues before they become problems. Encourage an environment of continuous improvement. Maintain stakeholder involvement in key decisions and provide high quality customer service and satisfaction. What You’ll Need Essential Skills & Experience: Experience of delivering projects, or coordinating complex tasks and activities, to support planned outcomes within tunnelling and wastewater infrastructure sectors. A working understanding of the COP for the Risk Management of Tunnelling Works would prove advantageous. Drivers license, APM qualifications/fundamentals, and CSCS card. Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders and managing £multi-million packages of work. Demonstratable success in developing and advancing business processes in line with continuous improvement. A commitment to sustainability and a passion for delivering high-impact solutions.
