About Us:
* Dynamic Team: We are a team of 14 vets working across one RCVS Hospital and two branch surgeries. We are fortunate to have a young, fun team who enjoy discussing cases and supporting each other.
* Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 3.5-day work week with consults finishing at 5pm. Our rota includes shared on-call and weekend duties, giving you plenty of time to enjoy life outside of work.
* Beautiful Location: With the sea on one side and the New Forest on the other, you’ll have plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities whilst only being 15 minutes drive from Bournemouth.
* Competitive Salary Package: Starting at £33,000 for new graduates, salaries are commensurate with experience. 5 weeks holiday pro-rata, VDS and RCVS fees covered, AXA health insurance and generous staff discount.
* Flexible Appointments: 15-minute consultations with catch-up blocks ensure you have quality time with your patients.
* Collaborative Environment: Our experienced vets and qualified nurses, including certificate holders in various specialties (surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, and ECC), are on hand to provide guidance and support.
* Professional Development: Daily case rounds and backup for on-call work help build your confidence with complex and emergency cases. Many of our vets have undergone the VetGDP training and the successful candidate will have the option of enrolling on the very valuable Graduate vet program organised by our partners at XLVets.
* Independence: We are proud to be an independent practice with practice goals that align with our core values, providing a great standard of care tailored to each individual pet and owner.
Team Culture: We pride ourselves on fostering a positive work culture and supporting the welfare of our staff. From regular fruit baskets to welfare days with a visiting masseuse, beach socials with fish and chips, and friendly team “bake-off” challenges, we ensure our team feels appreciated.
What Our Team Says: Why not ask them? Our recent graduates are happy to chat about their experiences as well as many of our experienced vets who are still with us from when they first qualified!
