The Opportunity
This is a newly created role to providesupport to our colleagues andensure that plant Health and Safety performance complies with our requirements. You'll bedefining and implementing appropriate procedures and proposing actions to further improve theHealth & Safety performance andassurance of safe operations including thetraining of Plant employees onOccupational Health and Safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with Health and Safety standards across all cement operations.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential risks and supporting theimplementation ofcorrective actions promptly.
* Develop and deliver H &S training programmes to promote awareness and enhance safety culture.
* Prepare and maintain H &S documentation, reports, and records for internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a proactive approach to HSEQ matters.
Who are you?
* Proven experience in a similar Health and Safety role within Cement or Construction,Utilities, Rail or Oil and Gas industries would be an advantage but is not essential.
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and industry best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with all levels of the organisation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risk and implement solutions.
* Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent are highly desirable.
