SC Cleared Data Architect – Outside IR35 – London – Hybrid About the Role: SR2 is looking for SC Data Architects to support a large-scale government project. These roles sit within a newly formed Data Office, designed to define, embed, and improve data management across the organization. The Data Office is responsible for Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Compliance, and Data Retention, ensuring best practices align with public sector data standards. These positions will play a key role in reducing data incidents, improving service reliability, and increasing user trust in data products. Data Catalog Lead the delivery of a data catalog using Informatica tools. Strong experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog & Axon Data Governance required. Provide technical and strategic consulting to improve data discovery, metadata management, and governance Consulting Work across multiple workstreams within the programme. Focus on data quality, data governance, and data compliance. Define and implement best-practice templates and processes to improve data management. Strong consulting skills and experience working within government data environments. Data Retention & Deletion (x2) Conduct a discovery exercise to assess and improve data retention and deletion processes. Work alongside a Data Governance Manager, SME, and Business Analyst. Experience designing and implementing data lifecycle management strategies. Strong consulting background with exposure to data compliance and regulatory frameworks. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Data Architect within government or public sector projects. Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, data compliance, and data retention. Technical proficiency in data cataloging tools, particularly Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog & Axon (for Data Catalog role). Experience working in highly regulated environments with sensitive data. Strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to define and implement best-practice data management processes.
