During your placement, you will gain experience across several of our Deals teams, including Lead Advisory, Transaction Services, Value Creation and Realisation, and Restructuring and Forensic Services.
Lead Advisory - The 'Create' Business
* Provide market-leading financial advisory services across a suite of products, including acquisitions and disposals, restructuring M&A, valuations, and debt and capital advisory.
Transaction Services - The 'Transact' Business
* Support clients in analyzing and determining the financial aspects of corporate events, such as sales, acquisitions, or mergers, to maximize value. This includes financial due diligence on the buy or sell side, transaction contracting, and dispute resolution.
Value Creation & Realisation - The 'Optimise Performance' Business
* Help clients achieve value, business growth, and resilience. Support clients with investments, implement commercial and operational value creation plans, and provide advice and services both pre- and post-transaction.
Restructuring & Forensics - The 'Protect and Recover' Business
* Assist clients in stress or distress situations. Help them respond, restructure, and transform, and prepare for, respond to, and emerge stronger from a wide range of business risks and issues.
What you'll do
During your placement, we aim to provide you with a diverse range of experiences, including exposure to client work. The exact nature of your tasks will depend on the projects we're working on at the time of your placement.
Your responsibilities may include:
* Researching, modeling, writing reports, analyzing data, or developing options and recommendations for a Business Restructuring Services project.
* Supporting acquisitions and disposals for corporate or private equity clients in Corporate Finance.
* Assisting clients in uncovering solutions to particularly complex business issues in Forensic Services.
* Participating in business development work, such as researching companies and conducting industry analysis.
What you'll gain
Completing the programme makes you eligible for consideration for a subsequent Summer Internship 2026 role in the same location and business area.
Many of our summer interns receive graduate role offers. Current graduates in this business area are studying for the ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification, though this may change in future years.
Programme
During this three-day paid programme you’ll get an insight into what a career at PwC could look like, you’ll meet mentors and buddies who’ll represent the variety of opportunities available across PwC. You’ll meet some of our colleagues to hear about their own personal career journeys, as well as from some of our networks focused on Inclusion and Diversity. Through interactive sessions, the programme will help you to develop confidence in a business setting and encourage you to bring your whole self to the workplace. Our Advancing Social Mobility programme will be a 3-day paid programme taking place 14-16 April 2025. You will need to be in the UK to complete this programme.
Eligibility for the Social Mobility in Business Programme
* First-year student in a three-year degree or second-year in a four-year degree
* On track to pass an undergraduate degree
* Attended a state school between the ages of 11 and 16
* Main household earner had a lower socio-economic background at age 14, or you were eligible for free school meals
