Your Role: In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in supporting students who need that extra bit of guidance to succeed. You’ll be leading tailored interventions in both Welsh and English, helping students boost their literacy, numeracy, and language skills. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, you’ll provide the encouragement, guidance, and expertise needed to make a lasting difference. Your day-to-day will involve: Leading inspiring and engaging interventions to help children progress in their learning, with a strong focus on Welsh language skills. Nurturing students’ confidence and belief in their abilities, fostering an environment where they feel safe to ask questions and grow. Collaborating closely with teachers to create targeted learning strategies for students in need of extra support. Tracking and celebrating progress, no matter how big or small, and adjusting support to meet individual needs. Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where students can freely embrace their Welsh heritage while mastering key skills. Bringing enthusiasm, patience, and creativity into your work every day! Here’s what we’re looking for: Fluency in Welsh (both spoken and written) is a must. A positive, can-do attitude with a genuine desire to make a difference in children’s lives. Previous experience working with children is preferred, especially in a teaching assistant or intervention role—but we’re happy to support you if you’re new to the field! Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents. A patient, empathetic approach to working with children of all abilities.
