* Proven experience in leading architecture design of data-oriented business critical IT projects/services in a large, complex UK central government or private sector organisation.
* Expertise in analytics and reporting, including data warehousing, data lakes, business intelligence (BI), and analytics technologies, design patterns, tools, and best practices.
* Ability to present technical content to large technical and non-technical audiences.
* Familiarity with public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, container, and networking design patterns, tools, and best practices (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
* Strong skills in database design & management and data architecture design, including data modelling, master data management (MDM), metadata management, and data governance.
Responsibilities:
* As a Lead Technical Architect, I will lead, deliver, and support the technical and architecture design and teams for our large and complex DWP MI programme. I will work with modern technology (AWS, Azure) and utilise bespoke (React) and off-the-shelf dashboard and visualisation products (Qlik, Power BI) to enable the business to gain insight and make informed decisions. Our MI products will empower our users and colleagues by providing fast-paced, flexible, and responsive solutions. These MI products will cater to a diverse range of users, from front line managers to the Secretary of State, and will be built upon hundreds of input data sets managed via various data ingestion patterns (API, file transfer, Cloud to Cloud bucket sharing).
