Manufacturing Engineer BRIEF OVERVIEW - Role: Manufacturing Engineer - Location: Hampshire - Role type: Permanent - Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to support engineering activities and ensure product quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to specifications You'll be working with an industry-leading high-end manufacturer, operating across various industries involved in advanced engineering projects. The role emphasizes process improvement, technical support, and collaboration with production teams. RESPONSIBILITIES - Collaborate on engineering projects, assisting in data collection, analysis, and reporting. - Drive process improvements by analysing workflows, optimizing layouts, and reducing waste. - Validate and document manufacturing processes through standard procedures and process reviews. - Support production teams by troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing processes, and providing training. - Assist with new product and process introductions, including designing tools, creating assembly instructions, and evaluating key characteristics. - Maintain operational equipment by working with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive care. - Ensure compliance with customer requirements, updating documentation as needed. - Contribute to quality assurance by investigating defects, supporting audits, and preparing reports. - Mentor junior engineers, fostering their technical development and performance. - Support business objectives by identifying and documenting key performance indicators. REQUIRED SKILLS - HNC/HND or higher in an engineering or scientific discipline. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant manufacturing environment. - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. - Solid analytical skills for troubleshooting and data-driven decision-making. - Excellent communication skills to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders. DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL) - Degree (BEng/MEng) in electronics, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering. - Experience in process improvement techniques, such as PFMEA or 8D analysis. - Familiarity with engineering standards and industry best practices. - Hands-on experience with production equipment and maintenance. - Ability to manage documentation and contribute to business management systems
