Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be integral to project planning from tendering through to completion. Collaborating with our teams, you’ll develop precise cost estimates, assess project requirements, and ensure efficient project execution. This role is ideal for experienced Quantity Surveyors or Estimators who are passionate about construction and are eager to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Estimate Preparation: Create comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and timelines.
* Feasibility Assessments: Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate project requirements, resource needs, and cost-effectiveness.
* Cost Control: Track and manage project budgets to maintain costs within set parameters.
* Blueprint Interpretation: Review design plans for accurate project scoping and estimating.
Requirements
* Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator, ideally in housebuilding or scaffolding.
* Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
* Software Knowledge: Familiarity with cost estimation software; Strikesoft experience is advantageous but not essential (full training provided).
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective collaboration.
* Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of construction processes, design drawings, and cost management principles.
