Theatre Practitioner
NHS AfC: Band 5
We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible Theatre Practitioners to work in Ormskirk and Southport Hospitals.
If you are keen to add to your existing theatre knowledge and are committed to developing and enhancing the quality of care provided in the Operating Theatre environment, then this is the opportunity for you.
The department provides a 24-hour emergency cover, therefore, there will be shift work, weekends, and on call commitment will be required.
Positions available in Scrub, Anaesthetics or Recovery across Southport and Ormskirk Theatres.
Main duties of the job

As part of our commitment to student ODPs and Nurses, the post holder will be expected to participate in the orientation, supervision, and training of junior staff and students. A mentorship qualification is desirable.
This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS (with barred list for Adults and Children’s disclosure).

Knowledge & Experience
* Knowledge of clinical skills required to undertake the role
* Knowledge of current professional & clinical issues
* Knowledge of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults procedures
* Substantial post-registration experience within an acute hospital setting
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC or HCPC Registration
* Relevant diploma or degree, or working towards.
* Teaching and assessing/mentoring qualification
* Related ENB/Theatre courses
